Eye problem

I have a male beardie that for some reason keeps one of his eyes closed like he has something in it. At first we thought it was his substate, then thought maybe it was an in complete shed. But neither seem to be the answer. The vet didn't see anything wrong yet he still doesn't want to keep it open very much. Any suggestions? Anyone had this problem?
