Im just wondering if they are like toxic or whatever?

They have little nutritional value anyway. Best to steer clear of them, IMO.

as the other post said ... not much food value so don't bother.

but one other thing.

the identification of fungi (mushrooms and others) is not always easy .... if *YOU* do not know 100% they are safe then get rid of them.

examples:

nice white caps of two mushrooms, on has a kind of ragged edge hanging down and has a very flat disk on a rather thin stalk.

another is the same color but is short and stout, no ragged edge, cap is thick and very rounded.

guess what I just desribed??

#1 is *VERY* toxic and will kill you
#2 is the one you buy at the store for dinner

and if I had dried them out and sent you a photo they would look identical from above.

PS: I have gardened for a long time and can ID a *FEW* by sight but in gnereral I would have to check with a good mushroom book ... every year folkks get very sick with shrooms they swore were safe....

and even what you might think is a liberty cap could be an aminita (fly cap)

one will send you on a tip like LSD (acid) the other will work on your bood like snake venom to kill you.

my point was toss them in the trash if you don't know 100% what you have -- it could kill you or make you sick as a doog.

and wash your hands... I'm seriois as some shrooms spores can make you sick.

not all but many are hard to ID and folks get sik every year!
