Found a clutch of 9 fairly large eggs while releasing some broad banded water snakes back into their habitat after a show. Couldn't resist lifting an old stove and voila! 9 eggs, 4 destroyed by something and full of roly-polies?? 4 look good and 1 is questionable. look kinda dry but no discoloration or collapse. Teaxs rat ,S. plains rat, splendida, holbrooki, and calligaster are the big guys in Calhoun co. that I've caught there. What median temp would you guys recommend for these eggs? I love a surprise! I've been looking for a splendida/holbrooki from that same area for 7 months now to pair up later with my female from there. Thanks, Todd

Todd,

I'd incubate them 80-82*F, with a nighttime drop of 2-5*F. being beneficial, if possible. Hopefully you have them in a humid shoebox, or some sort of container. Good luck...

J. Lassiter was kind enough to offer his "popcorn machine" turned incubator. Thanks for the reply. 4 good eggs, candled with veins showing.
