slitting eggs

Im guessing its some kind of surgical knife you use to slit the eggs.. Anyone with some info would be appreciated..

We use nail scissors from a manicure set. They are very sharp and their small size helps. Just pinch the egg and cut a very small hole. Then insert the scissors and start cutting. Keep the blade that's inside the egg pointing out. Just slide the point along the inside of the shell as you cut. This helps to minimize the cutting of veins.
