Hey everyone I took today off from work and was out on an afternoon run when I almost stepped on a gartner snake. It was sunning itself on the black pavement (bike path) next to one of those darn man made lakes and I caught it and had to take it back for a quick pic! Enjoy!

In our yard we had a huge rock pile way in the back, and each day was like an adventure at about 9 - 10 years old, I would lift the rocks to find what I now know as baby garter snakes, then they looked BIG to me, hehehehe !

They were so neat, more brownish/ grayish than your pretty pic.

But they are nice snakes, fun for younger kids to handle also.
I enjoyed your pic, the dude looks healthy!
