A sweater box is fine for a juvie, to pre adult. For an adult it would be best to be in a minimum 3' x 1' enclosure, or about the size of a standard 20g aquarium. But that is just the minimum, not nec. what it would do best in.

I put hatchlings in 6qt sterilite shoe boxes for about 3 months, then they go into 28qt boxes until they are about yearlings(depends on individual eating habits).

Then I move them up to something that will accommodate an adult for their final box.

I keep hot side about 92deg cool side about 84deg

What size box are you planning on using???

I like to upgrade their tubs with growth, when they are small they tend to eat better for me this way. JMO

I bought a rubbermaid 12 quart its a snapp on lid. THe humidity is currently 60%. I have a paper towel lining the bottom. I have a hide box( should i keep this more humid) and i have a water bowl with two dowels crossing each other in case it decides to climb. Thats pretty much it. Thanks,
Kevin

First nice Gaboon, my favorite hot without any close competition.

as for the ball sounds like a good setup, 60% is great, just bump it up a little during shed cycles to like 80%.
