Finally, after a 5 year wait, I am incubating 9 healthy bairdi eggs.

I've only got three bairdi eggs but they should be hatching any day now. I wouldn't be surprised if they pipped tonight or tomorrow morning, actually.

I have my fingers crossed for you. I hope she does her job and gives you a good clutch.

While your waiting I thought I might sneak in a little off topic photos and show you what I did this morning.
I caught this catfish this morning while fishing on my local lake.
he weighed in at 69 lbs 4 oz.

Man that is a huge Catfish. Is that a bluecat? What area was that at Jimmy? We went fishing this evening, and my wife caught a decent size Chain pickerel off the pier on our community lake. First time either one of us had caught any type of pike. Nothing compared to your monster. Thanks for the pics. Also to keep it on topic, I know you can't wait for the Bairdi to hatch. As good as your breeders look, those babies will turn into some stunning adults down the road.

That little cat fish was caught on Lake Chickamauga in Southeast Tennessee (Chattanooga)
to get back on topic...
I checked this morning and the bairdi eggs haven't pipped yet but they are huge. Any time now.
I've had 18 out of 20 eggs hatch from a female creamsicle X male motley creamsicle. One egg died and the last one hasn't pipped yet but it looks like I should get 19 out of twenty on that clutch. All creamsicles of course.
My snow corn x ghost het amel laid 18 eggs and 11 of those have hatched so far.
Two have pipped and four are ready to pip at any time. There is a good possibility that all 18 of these will hatch successfully.
so far 7 anerys and 4 snows have hatched from that clutch.
My cinnamons (hypo guttata/emoryi) laid 24 eggs. 3 of these have died since they were laid but the remaining 21 look good and will hopefully begin to pip any day now.
And last but not least another of my creamsicle females was bred to a male stripe creamsicle. She laid 18 eggs and they are all looking great and should begin pipping next weekend or early next week.

actually that is a big blue cat.
caught it on......chicken liver.....
usually don't catch the big ones on liver just cut bait.
Of course I have never caught one that big and probably never will again.
good luck fishing today.

While you are out fishing, and your mind is completely off your bairdi, will be when she finally lays those eggs.
