Guys...maybe a safer egg-scenting alternative? (more)......

What about trying a preparation such as "Mouse Maker", or "Lizard Maker"? This would seem to be more sterile that rubbing gutted pinkies on the eggs. Then you could scent whatever food items you wanted to feed the hatchlings with the same preparation. Just a thought......

Out of desperation, I tried the lizard maker on small pinks to get some baby gray banded kings to feed...and it worked! This was the only experience I have had with this product and I would like to see more experimentation done on this item (and other methods)....I think we may just be missing a basic and important point...it takes a TON of patience to raise baby indigos. I believe that if you stick with offering basic prey items (in my case, that's fuzzy mice, 1-day quail and minnows) you will eventually have success.
