One of the biological concerns I have for Cave Creek [central Az] is the apparent absence of reproduction in sonoran mud turtles (Kinosternon).
The young are normally evident in drainages occupied by this spps. In the 4 years I have been intensively surveying this creek, I have only observed large adults such as the one below.
Has anyone noted reproduction for this spps., particularly in the SW, in areas infested w/ crayfish?
It appears our canyon treefrogs are suffering the same fate. 

Once they choose to become a rock...theyre quite cryptic...
