how old is she? At what point do the salmons really start to go through a color change?

ajfreptiles Jun 18, 2005 01:02 PM

She was born here, Feb.28th 2005. I still cannot get over the color factors in that litter. Even the normals are incredible. I am glad I kept back a few of the normals also. As for color changes, I am not as experienced so I cannot say much.
I have noticed something that may be of interest.
There are some Salmons that have sporadic speckles, and then there are some that have a conglomeration of dark speckles that actually form a line or band that streams down the sides of the Salmon or hypo. It is my opinion that this is some sort of color band that seems to dispearse the color through the animal as they grow. I had some animals that had smaller bands and they are gone completely and some that still show that band through the side and color keeps building in the animal. Maybe some others with more knowledge of this can comment, but this is what I am witnessing. Thanks again, Andy Federico
