I need some good ideas for an outdoor enclosure myself. If you wouldn't mind, could you post some pics of the enclosure itself? And by the way, how big are your guys?

Great look animals and enclosure.
I do have one suggestion, you may want to consider protecting the exposed AC cords. Crocodilians often bite (taste?) exposed cords which can deadly.

Hi John,

The AC cords have certain crossed my mind. Typically the alligators don't get around them and I normally have a statue blocking the access, but I moved it for cleaning purposes. Afterwards, I just started taking snap-shots. I have considered building something that would stay out of my way and will withstand the weather, but im not exactly sure what the best route to go on that would be. I dont keep the alligators out there long, just normally for an evening on toasty warm days. If you happen to come up with any ideas, send them my way, it would be really helpful.

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks,

as far as their adult enclosure goes, I was working on that. I am thinking somewhere around the lines of a 35' x 35' enclosure. 20' x 10' concrete pool (or more natural pool). It will have to be fully enclosed and insulated. I was thinking something around the lines of a greenhouse type enclosure.

I am still thinking and trying to work at finding my perfect solution. But I wont have to think for very long, after all, before too long animal rights activists, moron state law makers and the ignorant morons who have these animals and shouldnt are going to cause me and everyone else to lose our rights to keep them anyways, so I figure I will just plan until that happens and then after that it wont matter anymore.

Oh well, their just reptiles right?

BIGTANK Jun 20, 2005 06:31 PM

really sorry to hear that... I don´t have that problems in Mexico... in fact, as I told you once, we are just a few (40) people in my city (wich is arround 5 million people)... and 36 of 40 are just the kind of owners that kill everything on theyre hands...

hope you can do something to keep your rigt to own this animals, they aren´t just reptiles... they are the oldest form of live in the world... and crocs are modern dinosours...

and they are great pets if you are a responsble owner...

best wishes

Rick

Yeah,

Must be nice to live in an area like that. Not too many people to tick off. Oh well, I plan to fight as hard as I can. The problem is, that most people in this state could care less because the majority aren't responsible owners anyways.

OH well, all I can do is sit back and watch what happens.

it is very sickening that there are so many irresponsibel owners, that cause these laws to happen. but we could always go thru the process of getting permits/licenses, if we really want to work with them, so I am not too worried about it. Perhaps there will be some good with the new laws. just htink about it, exotics liek this would not be sold to irresponsible indiviuals on a regualr basis, right.
