Hey, I was holding my baby iguana right, well somehow he escaped from my grasp and leaped onto my bed and .. okay you know how close baskets have little holes in them? Well, He ran right threw one.. well not completely.. he got stuck in it! His arms were held back in the basket and he was stuck and squirming to free himself.. I allllmost panicked because he was like gasping for air or whatever.. so I grabbed a knife and cut him loose... THEN**** he almost ran through annnottheeer hole! I quickly snatched him up though. Unfortunatly he does have a small cut on his arm. It didn't bleed thankfully. It is just a very dark green color and the area around the tiny wound started to shed. Then later his whole arm shed. So, Lesson learned... Be more careful when handeling lil igs! LoL.. Just thought you all might want to hear a story with a fortunate ending!

This reminded me of when my boy was an iglet....He spied a tiny tear (and I mean very tiny, I didn't know it was there!), in a mesh screen in the window...he took a nose dive for it and rammed his head through, my daughter ran outside and I tried to keep a hold of him inside without grabbing his tail.(didn't want it to snap off)...so luckily he gave up after a struggle and I pulled him back through. I thought I had lost him!!!
Which is another warning....iggy nails can easily tear regular mesh screening, to take caution.

oh my gosh yeah i know that their nails can tear through reg. screen. at the time i was building his cage i hadn;t a clue that could happen. but the sides of the cage are screen.. time to re-build! lol
