Picky Eater

Burmaboy Jun 19, 2005 09:27 PM

Has anyone ever had a burm, that has been a dependable feeder for a few years, all of a sudden turn picky?
Snowflake, my 10ft albino, all of a sudden, has been turning his nose up at rabbits.
It seems to have begun with my last delivery.
Can there be a difference between rabbits? Quality?
This is weird. I can wiggle these rabbits in front of his nose...No response.
Before this load of rabbits, I'd have never done that.
All my rabbits come from the same place.
I hate wasting a $5 rabbit if he's not gonna eat.

I've had some previously owned Burms turn down food for a month or two for no apparent reason. Didn't know what the cause was. It wasn't around this time of the year though, it was more towards August.

this is a first for me.
it's as though the food isn't even there. he actually even ran away from the food.
maybe it is love.
sorry about my typing. i have a cast on my right hand, so i am typing with one finger on my left hand

Yep...thats exactly how mine is.
Your one finger typing is better than alot of people who have full use of both hands...LOL

I have one that is driving me crazy right now as well. She used to eat frozen/thawed but has since turned that down for a while, so I switched to fresh killed(by me) and she hammered those. I was happy to get her feeding again and tried a frozen/thawed yesterday and she acted like it wasn't there, I took it out and gave it to my red-tailed. I have to break her of this soon because she could probably be on small rabbits soon and I don't really care for killing everything before she eats.
