a couple So. Cal finds......

Did some local day hunting friday and didn't see much other than a ton of side blotched, western fence lizards, and whiptails. I did find a California Legless Lizard though. I'm not sure how common these are, but it's a first for me. Anyone have any experiences with these?

Also found this hatchling Western Skink. I love the bright blue tails on juveniles.

Where did you find the legless? Not exact location, more like what region in Calif? Very cool.

In the foothills of San Bernardino county. Temps were around 72 when I found it near some flowing water.

From what I know, the silvery legless lizards are pretty common, but hard to find due to burrowing habits. Someone dug one out in my yard once, I hear they are fairly common in yards in the high desert here, but still hard to find.
