Snow X Sunglow

What would be the outcome of this litter? Anyone care to share the percentages??

You would NOT get any snows from this litter correct?? Maybe a better match for a sunglow female would be a triple het male ... rather than a snow male?? In terms of what offspring would theoretically be produced??

Someone correct me if Im wrong but you would have sunglows het for anery (would this be labeled as het for snowglow?) and albinos het for snow(anery) correct??

Where as the triple het male would give you the possibility of getting a homo. snowglow correct? I think Im getting a subadult sunglow female and Im just trying to figure out what I should pair her with???

You Will get 50% sunglow het snow, and 50% albino het snow. you will not get a snowglow from a trip het to a sunglow. you will get albino 50% poss het snow, poss super sunglow 50% poss het snow, poss super dh sunglow 50% poss het snow, het albino 50% poss het snow.

The next thing is to ask what is the object of the cross.

There would not be any snows from either snake mated to a sunglow. Unless the sunglow was also heterozygous for anerythristic, which cannot be counted on.

If the object is to maximize return, I would mate the snow to the sunglow. The result of that mating would be either sunglows or albinos. On the other hand, statistically 1/8 of the babies from the sunglow x triple heterozygote would look normal despite being heterozygous for albino and possibly heterozygous for anerythristic (aka het snow).

If the object is to get the most variation among the babies, then I would mate the sunglow to the triple heterozygote.

Good luck.

I would breed the female sunglow to an anery het albino. I am not a fan of albino X albino breeding (JMO). With this combo you will get Albinos 100% het anery, Sunglows 100% het anery, Hypos DH snow(triple hets) and DH snows. With a triple het you get some nice combo's as well, but you end up with the poss het anery's.

I just produced the exact combo as above by breeding a DH sunglow 50% het anery to my female snow. My male did not prove out to be het anery. Back to the drawing board.
