newb questions

follett08 Jun 20, 2005 02:06 PM

Hey, im new to the site, and to chameleons all together. Ive been studying for about the last 6-7 months on chameleons and hopefully by sept. I will have a new one. I will probably have some questions in the future, so ill start off with which chameleon is a good one to start with? I can't decide between a Veiled, or a Panther. I have heard the veileds are easier to take care of, but no body has told me why. So why do you guys think Veileds are easier to take care of then Panthers, and how big do full male Veileds and panthers get? thanks for the help!!!

Either veiled or panther would be equally good beginner cham IMO. The reason people recommend veileds is that they are usually much cheaper than panthers. Be willing to spend a good 200$-400$ on a 3 month QUALITY panther from good bloodlines. HOwever, you get what you pay for. They are very beautiful from dealers such as bluebeast, kammer, exotic, etc. (the sponosors of this forum) check them out

I think you should keep reading and make your own decision on which of these beautiful chameleons you want.

I just recently purchased a panther, my goodness they are so gorgeous, but so are veileds.

It's part of the Fun, choosing , let us know which one you get!
