"Dwarf" Boas?

northamexotics Jun 20, 2005 02:26 PM

This guy was part of a multiple snake deal we made a couple of years ago. We were told he was a "dwarf boa constrictor" with not much more information. We've never tried to breed him and he hasn't grown since we've had him which should make him about 5 years old now. He's not even be 5' long and has always eaten well.

Anyone working with a "dwarf" line or have any ideas/comments about this guy?

Thanks!
-Jason

looks like a good old 'central' American generic local. Def. Central American in characteristics and size, so I think that'll be your answer, however I'm sure others can shed more light onto it's exact local. I'd lean toward Mexican.

All the best,

Is how do I get one of those??

I'd be interested in any info I can get on the dwarfs too. Seems to me a BCI in a smaller package would be the perfect snake.

THere is really going to be a huge future with these guys. I have over thirty Nicaraguans and plan on adding some more this year. My 3 year old male is only about 4 foot long. My type II anery Nic is also three years old and just about 30". These guys are awesome. I also have some panamanian boas coming this year as well. Gotta love the dwarf boas!!!!!!

A couple of mine.

Thanks
Bob
