Well, my fear of the tokay babies not eating has been replaced with amazement at what voracious little monsters they are. If I only keep one, it'll be this one--he was the first born and real stocky, like his dad. And he's got light coloration--it's amazing to watch them go from dark babies to this. They are awesome.
For what it's worth, upon being born, the babies were immediately placed in a 20-gal tall tank (the smallest readily available tank I had on hand). It's always been a bare-bones set-up with paper towel substrate, a very shallow water dish (from which I've seen them drink), a heat lamp, an opened upright egg carton as a hide, and a masked off section for privacy. I worried this was too much space for such tiny babies, but they've been doing great, growing and chowing down like there's no tomorrow. I've been rotating their cricket dustings like the adults and mist them once or twice a day.
Enjoy! I'm also including a photo of the proud papa.
