Is a reptarium good for a uro, (mali specifically)???

jack7777766 Jul 14, 2003 11:51 AM

I was just thinking about it since, a reptarium provides good ventilation which keeps humidity low, and since they are cheaper.
What do you guys think.

Also are all sides of a reptarium screen or is there at least one 'bottom' that is solid so you can put a substrate, newspaper????

Thanks
Jack

I would say no, because it doesn't hold heat well, which is vital for uros. If you wanted to get one for your uro to have an outside enclousure then that would be fine. Also UV doesn't get through the reptariums easily, due to the heavy mesh. In general they are better for tropical animals, so i have heard. As for the bottom, reptariums don't have one, you can buy trays for the bottoms seperate, i believe.
Good luck!
