....Sonoran tree badger...

...normally these beaded-badgers are rooting about in holes like their mammalian counterparts...
While I have read about climbing monsters & have seen them up a few times on boulders...this is the 1st one Ive actually seen in a tree & it was just outside my office...ah but one of the many pleasures working in the Sonoran desert.....
The eggs & mammal pups produced this spring insures plump tails on these monitors...

They do that to avoid the impending sea of flames! lol
