another shot. Has anyone else had twins this year?
What a great pic. That is a great thing, such an uncommon morph producing twins. I can't wait to get mine from ya. Are you expecting any Amel Flames this season? TTYL Tom
Hi Tom
Yes I will be expecting some "amelanistic Flames" this year but very few in number. These are all young animals and had small clutch sizes (3-4) so next year the avaliablity will be there.
Still no New England axanthics but I will call you when they hatch!
That is pretty cool. I've seen it happen to others before on various forums but haven't experienced it myself yet. Someone on the gila forum produced twin gilas from a single egg last year. Did this egg appear segmented in the middle while it was incubating?
Were both twins healthy and similar in size to their other siblings?
Chris
The twins were smaller than the others in the group and one has a kink in its neck. The egg did not have any discernable indentation to suggest twins. Matter of fact those eggs came from a very small young female and the eggs were super long and larger that eggs from a larger het female that I have. The siblings from the twin group came out huge compared to the other clutches.
