The Golden Rule of Ball Pythons!

Always have A Yellow Belly! Yellow Bellies Rule! Within the last few years, the BP community has proven the yellow belly invalubale to create multiple amazing morphs. And once again yellow bellies have proven themselves with the Crystal Ball! What will the Yellow Bellies reveal next?

While I think YB's are a must-have in any collection I think it is very early to say the crystal ball is a YB x mojave.
From what Tom had said he is not sure what it is yet. His responce on an earlier post; "I will be finding out the possible genetics on this snake later this week, hopefully proving my theory"
Now lets use logic; if he had a YB and bred it to a mojave, why the wait? What is there to "find out"? I don't think that Tom is trying to buy time, for what? Is he running around buying up YB's as we speak? I don't think so. If it was as easy as YB, I think he would say that.
Not to mention, there are others with mojave x YB in the incubator now. If those are the genetics, we will all know very soon. (if not from Tom then by another breeder)
Sounds to me like Tom has some other things coming that will shed more light on the genetics. I think we should wait for him to figure out his new morph.
Until then we just wait... man, waiting for the breeding to start, waiting for eggs to drop, waiting for that LOOOONG 60 days, this whole industry is just about waiting. I hate to wait

I agree with you 100%. Thats what makes this ball breeding so wonderful. Its the wait and anticipation thats killing me, lol. Hopefully he will be able to figure the actaul genetics and then decides to share them. Ron

Perhaps he doesn't know what a YB looks like, I have a female here that may prove out to be a YB , but if I showed her to you ,you would think I was nuts, however if she produces an Ivory (which looks to be very likely at this point)then she MUST be one! YB's are variable , some are easier to spot than others, and some don't know for sure what they are looking at, if I seen her pick I could probably tell if she was one , assuming the pic clearly shows what I need to see that is!
