The King Snake

I love this book. I found it while tooling thru ebay one day last year and snapped it up. I scanned the cover and an excert from the inside flap for your viewing pleasure. I think you can get a reprint of this book on the kingsnake.com bookstore or try amazon. Anyway its worth the effort if you like Eastern Kings or any kinda reptile for that matter.

Hey Keith,
that is a great book, if it is the one I remember..is it the one where it shows the kingsnake "hiding" from an adult cruising by? Have you updated your website with any recent picts yet?

I read that book a very long time ago, the crossbreed is also a good one, it's about a bobcat-X-housecat. I'll have to read them again someday.

I remember getting that from the library.

Let's see...it was the life story of a male eastern king...first it was about his mother who laid eggs...and then was killed by...an owl?

Then the story of the eggs...a few died from water dripping on them, and then they hatched. A bunch of the babies were eaten the first day by crows...wow I don't want to ruin it but I remember almost the whole story I think.

Yep thats the one Dean. The mother gets killed by a Red tailed Hawk and her son gets into a tussle with the Owl. Good memory !
