snow's babies are all het amel and anery?

IcedGoddess May 17, 2003 09:57 AM

I want to be sure I label hese guys correctly, and so I don't forget who's het for what, all these hatchlings, with a snow mom and an okeetee dad are "normal/okeetee" looking, (plus a few oddities) but they are all het amel and anery right? Or are they 50% for each? Dad was obviously not het either, since no babies are amel or anery.

Lot's of "motleyesque" influences though, several missing belly checks in a few of the babies, and a few have connected dots on the neck and others have zig zaggy paterns, so I think my "pet store" snow is hiding a few other things, can't wait to see what her and a baby will make, all snows I spose? ah well, babies are babies right

You're right, they're all double het. The rule of thumb is if you can see it in a parent, the offspring are all going to be het for it. You only get into the possible percentages when one of the parents is het themselves.
Breeding double hets together is fun (theoretically, I guess, I can't say I've done it). You get all sorts of combos.

All your babies are het amel and anery if the mom was a snow.

If you keep a male and breed him back to mom, you should get a nice mix of offspring. The results would be:

25% normal, het amel and anery
25% amel, het anery
25% anery, het amel
25% snow
