fertile eggs

brianklein Jun 21, 2005 10:15 PM

I am posting this message for the people that are wondering how to find out if your eggs are fertile.....The fourth pic on the link below is a picture(a little blurry, sorry) of an egg that I am candling with a flashlight minutes after it was laid. If you look closely you will see a red ring with a dot in the middle, if you see the redring with the dot then the egg is fertile. The redring/dot is at the top but that is a coincidence it does not have to be at the top in order for the egg to be fertile. If you see the dot it is fertile. I hope this helps....good luck!
