Hey randy just a question for you I have a pair of northerns and they have been kept together since I have had them I was just curious as to when they breed?The reason I ask is because My female has quit eating and she is starting to get fat I offwer her food like all the time just to see if she will eat so how do I know I know my GTPs when they are gravid but the emmies are totally different speceies for me.

As far as her being gravid if she is getting fat there is that chance. Have you seen any breeding activity? Is she eating ? Some will eat up until they drop others refuse early in the pregnancy and some will eat part way through and then stop so it's hard to tell just from their feeding habits. Does she park herself under the heat most of the time?

If she proves to be gravid make sure you have a basking spot of around 90 for her and move the male out. If she's gravid you'll know she'll get huge pretty quickly.
