Anyone know how to make a 'cement' snapper pond?

snakecharmed Jun 22, 2005 12:05 AM

Well, I know the pond question has been asked many times and I've scrolled down to get a better idea, but the one I have in mind, I can't seem to find! We're wanting to make a large pond and I remember someone mentioning forming one out of cement. My question is, how do you seal it to keep the water from leaking through? Is there something that you mix with the cement or coat it with after it's poured? Those plastic ponds like they sell at home improvement stores or 'kiddie pools' wouldn't be large enough for the adults that I have, and they've already destroyed a 'pond liner'. I know that stock tanks are alot cheaper, but I'd much rather for these guys to have a pond. If anyone has any tips on how this is done, I'd appreciate a reply! Also, I'd be interested in knowing what is working for you guys. Thanks! ~Christy~
