thinking of mixing hypopastel with orange flaming tiger

jakentbc Jun 22, 2005 12:43 AM

so i have one hold back male baby orange flaming tiger...this guy has awesome markings. I am possibly thinking of mixing him with a newly acquired hypopastel from dachiu.

someone please remind me how to post pictures and i'll show you what i am pondering. i know how to post them i just forgot the website to do it at. meanwhile i'll bust out my digi-camera.

see what i am not sure of is who to breed with my female hypopastel first. I have a four year old male that is supposed to be HET hypo, but have never breed him with anything that had hypo in it. So, i've been selling his babies pretty cheap. I'm not sure if i want to breed the hypopastel with him or this flaming tiger, which is actually one of his babies. The flaming tiger and orange comes from the mom. Out the 75 babies i've got out of the HET hypo and the mom (flaming tiger X orange sandfire) this orange flaming tiger is by far the most interesting i've seen....

So, what is that website you all use for pictures?

i woke up this morning and remembered the website. Well i guess that both of the dragons i took pictures of are shedding. For that organge tiger....take a look at his tail, thats how orange he is. i included an old picture of him that shows his markings better. And look at Venus my hypopastel...she's got the clear nails. I realize all these are babies. This is just my future plans.

Ummm.... I am not too sure about this. How much does your female weigh? How long is she. How old is she. She needs to be over 1 year of age, 420 grams, and 12 inches. I am not 100% sure if the above information is correct, if it isn't, correct me plz.

12 inches is extremely tiny for any dragon to breed. I have dragons at this time under 12 weeks old 13-14 inches in length, so I couldn't imagine breeding anything under 18 inches never mind 12. 12 is extremely small, and it would be doing bearded dragons on a whole a disservice adding those small size genetics into our already dangerous and lacking gene pool.

I wait till my breeders are all over 18 inches in legnth, and at the least 450 grams. Females I wait till they are even heavier at 500 grmas . A Breeding female can drain down to a shell of what she was before mating.. They must be in tip top condition to breed without it causing lasting harm!!
