If I remember correctly I think it was a Many Banded Krait (Bungarus multicinctus) that did Dr. Joe in. R.I.P

Yes it was a multicinctus that nailed Joe, it was a baby no bigger around than a #2 pencil and about a foot long. one of the members of the group caught it thinking it was a mimic. The bite was VERY slight, one fang slashed his fingernail and finger, he started showing symptoms about 1 hour after the bite, and whoever has read the article knows how the rest of it went. A very sad story to say the least and a great loss to all of us.
