Hi,

I am tossing up between the Saharan and Egyptian. Please help me... I am frazzled!!!

Depending on what kind of Egyptian you are looking at, there is a space consideration with the Egyptians. The microlepsis get moderately larger than the other types of Uros (I believe), the Agyptius get *significantly* larger, as in up to twice as long, sometimes longer. So, you should consider the amount of space you are willing to dedicate to your reptil family member before going with that type. My baby aegyptius is not even a year old yet, and is almost as long as my 8 year old mali Uro! They grow and grow and grow! (and they eat a LOT). With that said though, I waited a long time before I could find one, and love him to death. He is inquisitive and generally friendly. My mali is also a wonderful companion, though not as brightly colored I would also recommend the malis.

It definitely comes down to personal preference in the end. Good Luck and keep us posted on what you decide!

I've got Saharans (Click link below for pics) but if I was to get another, I'd consider an egyptian or a really beautiful Ornate.
