Here's an updated pic of that freaky Woma born a few weeks ago. She was not a preemie. She was the second one to hatch, and those who hatched right before and after her are the most intensely banded of the clutch.

It appeared in a "normal" litter. However, the same mother also produced a similar one last year. So who knows, it may be genetic, I feel that it probably is.

The pattern is not reduced as much, but she was similar in that she stood out from the rest of the clutch like a sore thumb. Whereas the rest of the clutch looked brown when born, she was much lighter and a bright yellow color.
