hanging fly strips, bug zappers, and, hang clear plastic bags of water up in the direct sunlight. sounds strange but it works. the most chemical free options I have offhand.

Just a quick addition to Mick's excellent suggestions: remove any uneaten food promptly. We get alot of flies in our enclosure if we forget to remove food when the turtles are done eating, especially now that the weather is alot warmer.

I tried 97 cent stinky fly traps from Walmart that I hung in the trees, they work!
