These hatched out looking a bit odd from others in the same clutch, and I was wondering if these are what some breeders are calling, and selling as smoothies. Some of them look more smooth then others.. What is your take on these? incubation problem, genetic, what???

Rebel, my bearded dragon has been confirmed as a female. We all thought she was male Anyways, I couldn't be prouder....

These happen to be just 2-3 weeks old, so not for sale yet, and no price has been determined yet. Basically I'm trying to get peoples opinions on them, what may cause it, if it has been found to be genetic, and if these are even what people call smoothies or leather backs? Trying to learn more about these guys myself..

Well they are partial smoothies. Smoothies/Letherbacks are the manifestation of a variable trait. I can tell you that those are in my opinion partial smoothies. Now you have another trait to play with congratulations!!

I am sure you have seen Maximus my Adult hypopastel he is also a partial smoothie!! sshhhh don't tell anybody...lol

I assume it must be genetic. But, dude...I don't know. I hope to know as much about breeding as yourself one day! Truthfully, they sort of freak me out. Something about them, to me at least, just doesn't look right. I'm sure many find them beautiful...and they sure seem to be bringing in the big bucks. Nice colors on that one, though! I guess I just like my dragons spiny and scaly .
