Hi I just had a couple of questions about Long nose Leopard Lizards. I collected one yesterday in Nevada near Smith Valley, It was injured, Almost seemed paralyzed from the waist down so to speak. I know I should have left it there to let nature take its course but I figured maybe I could help it. I notice it dose not move its rear legs, It just drags them behind it when it walks. It dose however pull the legs back if you touch them just like any lizard will do so I know the individual has feeling back there and can move them. I plan on taking it to the vet this week but can anyone offer any advice while I wait for my appointment? Also all the reading I have done speaks of females having the orange only when they are gravid but nothing tells how to sex them when they are not gravid or in season, can anyone help there? Thanks in advance for all the help.
