Hi all, I have several grape vines in my yard that have Japanese beetles all over them! The beetles are easy to catch with a bug net so I was wondering if they would be safe to feed to beardies...not as a staple or anything because the are just seasonal anyway. If not, does anyone here know of another fairly inexpensive lizard that would eat allot of them if i caught them for him? like maybe a Sav?
Any knowledgable repleys will be appreciated!

has an outdoor pen, and actually tries to attact them, his collared lizards grab them! I'm sure they are fine.
LIGHTNING BUGS ARE TOXIC and will KILL your lizards so watch out for them.

My neighbors think I'm wacked, LOL. Walkin' round the house snatching bugs and spiders off the house and from the flowerbeds. 
But the critters at least get a variety.

Or pick up SLIMEY SLUGS those scummy snails that slime across your side walk at night , ahhahahahah ( My Merauke BTS loves those dang things.
I go out in the rain and catch nightcrawlers for the bullfrog, oh my goodness, I guess I do not appear very lady like, LMAO

likes to look at the lizards (only if I put them under his nose) LOL but I'm into this alone also.
I get accused of CARING about the lizards MORE than him,

LOL I get the same thing, she says I spend more time in the basement than in the rest of the house. I just grin and head downstairs. If you ever get to the point where you have too many lizards, I have room for extras . Take care Eve

Your talking to the wrong girl, I just keep taking over more ROOMS, hahahahahaha now he can't not say I spend TOO much time in the reptile room, they are begining to creep into our dining room, downstairs also.
Figure we never eat in there anyway, LMAO. Just put a pair of werneri chameleons in there and a big gorgeous Panther chameleon

Eve, I was out pickin' greens for my iguana yesterday and somebody driving by stopped to ask what I was gonna do with all the weeds. When I told him, I got that "OK I'm leavin' now" kinda look and he left. LOLOL.

I always make sure my yard has many dandelions each year, for my chuckwallas, agamas, uromastyx... anyway all the neighbors around me have those beautiful green GRASS lawns that they can brag about,
I'm sure they appreciate me tending my WEEDS. LMAO
I have been caught at night, at my front door light trying to catch moths LOL, that goes over real well also
I think they figure we are BUG eaters or something.
