Sad Loss-Bill Mears, of Borderview Dragons/Breeders Network

CheriS Jun 23, 2005 06:03 AM

Bill Mears of Borderview Dragons and founder of The Bearded Dragon Breeders and Suppliers Network passed away Monday unexpectantly.

He lived in Canada and was one of the earlier breeders of bearded dragons. Also a member/moderator on many list and forums for Bearded Dragons, he taught many people how to care for this species when it was new to captivity. Some of us and dragons too owe much to him and his passion for beardies.

That's said news. Though I never knew the guy, I have found his website highly informational and had considered getting a dragon from him, but he didn't have any available during the times I was looking for a dragon.
