great set up! I have a root system similar to yours, but the addition of all the foliage makes yours truly spectacular looking. You also have a great monitor collection too. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!
I am on the prowl for a couple of larger root balls. These Alli snaps are in need of a 90 gallon, ALREADY!

very nice setup mike. but better protect the silicone in the big tank! once they start getting 10" or so i've seen them dig through the gravel and scratch the silicone off. you can lay out a piece of plactic or something on the bottom, cover it up with gravel and hope for the best on the side corners. they're sort of like water moles(LOL)

Steve
I'm wondering if this would be a problem in an acrylic tank? No silicone.

mike- it would seem acrylic is the better choice. the only negative is that it might scratch up easier than glass but they probably wont be clawing that much at the sides.

I really like your set up, very natural looking. Looks like a happy, healthy turtle too. ~Christy~

Thanks!
I really enjoy giving most of my animals "naturalistic" setups.
