I think venomous is illegal in washington...not 100% sure of that but i think thats the case. What are you looking for?

Basically, yes, when did venomous become illegal in Washington State? What can be kept?

jasonmattes Jun 24, 2005 10:46 AM

I'm not sure what can be kept..i live in oregon not washington, but have friends in washington who i think have mentioned that venomous are illegal. Check the fish and game website for washington or just call them...they will be able to tell you.

it might not be in your city or county.

If you live in Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, King County or Pierce county, you cant have most any venomous although I'm not sure of the status of rearfanged.

Each year the people from the Animal Protection Institute and their cronies in WA push a bill that would ban hots. It died again last year, but eventually some form of the bill is going to pass. It is going to pass because hot keepers don't get together and make a stink.

Where in the state do you live?

bans are getting out of hand....i just heard of a proposed ban on all exotics in medford oregon...apparently somones 3 1/2ft gator escaped the garage it was being kept in for a few days. Why dont they just punish the owner...not everyone else
There are plenty of idiot drivers out..i dont see anyone trying to ban that.

I'm in Seattle itself...Damn I knew something like this would happen before I got a chance to move up here. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Maybe I'll check out if rearfangs are ok. I've always liked Boiga.
