Gravid Pig:

Oxyrhopus Jun 23, 2005 11:50 PM

This gal is ready to bust as you can see. I have a few gravid pigs and noticed that as they became longer into being gravid, their personalities changed from a very defensive and calm manner to attacking and offensive behaviors. Without teasing or touching them, these gals actually come at me and strike a number of times whereas they usually go the other way to hide. And just after they do drop babies, they are back to being defensive, very fearful of people and only approach when they know its feeding time.

I noticed the same behavior with other rattlesnakes when they were gravid.
