Rack/Thermostat question

kingofspades Jun 24, 2005 01:28 AM

I've been looking into getting a Boaphile Ten Drawer Clear Sweater Box RhinoRaXX. (I currently have 3 young bal pythons, and I plan on getting more '05 females) and possibly an '05 pastel male soon.)

http://www.boaphileplastics.com/rhinoraxx_ten_clear_sweater.html

Do you guys think this thermostat would be ok to control the two strips of heat tape that the rack has?

Thanks,

i personally use the Helix sys/set up on all of mine. their package also has the adaptor that is used on my timers so that i can control daytime and nighttime temps. im not sure if big apples has that - if you are going to be breeding you are going to want to control 2 sets of temps throughout the year.

I have heard too many stories of the cheaper stats failing. I have been using the Big Apple Herp Power Proportional stat for a while now, and it works great. Comes with a night drop cord and a 1000 watt power boost can be ordered, haven't order it yet. In my opinon a proportional stat is the way to go.

I agree...

The Big Apple Herp Power works wonderfully. No problems. Proportional. Digital. Durable. Highly recommended.
