Sexing veiled chams...

veronicag Jun 24, 2005 12:36 PM

Does anyone have any good photos of both male and female chams and how to tell the difference? And what's the easiest way to tell?

Thanks!
Veronica

easy question males have a little spur on their hing feet on the foot where the foot is fused together pointing towards the tail or clocla if you have even a hatchling male and female in front of you it would be obvious vieled are unique in that you can immediatly sex them after hatching

You can sex veiled chameleons the day they are born with a
little practice due to the tarsal spurs on the heels of the
males.
Here are pictures showing you the spurs.....
