Small Toad/Frog?

tsorf33 Jun 25, 2005 04:39 PM

I live near Birmingham, AL. Today, while fishing at a small lake I saw a small toad (I guess it could have been a frog... too small for me to tell) that was about half the size of my pinky fingernail. It was all dark brown in color. Wondering if anyone can tell me what kind this could be.

Thanks!

jason

Hi Jason,

Most likely it was a Bufo species. True toads morph out very small, and are normally dark brown, tan, or black in color. Good luck,
