im just wondering what sort of numbers the BIG BREEDERS are producing each year and do most consider someone to be a "big breeder" because of reputation or just that ..being a big breeder...i ony had four clutches this year ,,,,,my first year to produce ball pythons or any snake for that matter in over 15 years when i had burms, kings, and corns to name a few......... i started with one pet store bought ball python in 01 and then decided to go online and look up some of the breedes i remember from years past,,,bob clark, brian sharp, peter kahl,,,,,i was amazed at the where the ball pythons had come since the days of old when all were wild caught.........i got the bug and started collecting them .......ive never bought a female over 200 grams and have raised them all to be my breeders .......ive got between 50 and 60 females now and only four males ..ALBINO,PASTEL,MOJAVE,AND SPIDER,,,,,i know my four males cant handle 60 girls but my females are from 01's to 05's and with my hold back males i will be able to one day breed them all but whether i do or not depends on space and being able to get rid of wht i produce to get what i still want....EVERY OTHER MORPH out there....are there people out there who own in the thousands or high hundreds or that produce those numbers each year.....id love to hear from anyone and everyone from joe blow down the block to all the big guys ....so if its not a secret im curious and also with the people with the big numbers can you tell me in your instance how many people it takes to maintain your collection to include of course your feeders which are more work by far then the beauties they are raised to feed.......thanks to all who reply......Jerry Lowry SJS reptiles

i didnt mean to take away from anyone who HAS been breeding them for decades when i said the days when they were ALL wild caught......i meant in general for the pet trade......nor is my intention to one day own a thousand ball pythons ....the post was out of curiosity alone.....again all my best and thanks for your efforts and acomplishments which keeps my drooling.......Jerry Lowry........
