Nose Rubbing

matt892 Jun 25, 2005 11:58 PM

My Ball Python has been rubbing his nose on most of the objects in his cage lately. He pretty much rubs his nose on anything rough for a little while than stops. He is not in shed and has been doing it for a few days now. Any idea what's the matter with him? I looked at his nose and nothing is on it that would be bothering him that I can see.

Since nobody wants to help you.

Here are some possible reasons.

Too hot.
A male that wants to breed. It might smell a female.
Mites.
It's hungry, or thirsty. It might smell food. Do you breed rodents, or smell like one yourself?LOL
It just might not like it's cage. Change it, and see what happens. You could give it a hide if it doesn't have one.

Hopefully one of these things can help you.
