I have a number of female leos. Fo some reason I cannot get them 'big" nThey are all healthy and active but seem a little on the light side. i mean i have one leo who is nuts. She is always jumping all over the place, eats regulary and is about 3-4 years old, but only ways 37grams. No joke. Like humans not all geckos are created equal so i am sure this one has a fast metabolism I am just wondering how I can get her a little more meat on her bones. Again, she eats reularly so I am not quite sure what can be done if anything at all..

A good way to fatten up a skinny leopard gecko is to feed it 1 or 2 wax worms each week, a pinky every month helps boost their weight up too.

1 or 2 waxworms a week??? I do not know where some people pick up their info from but, there is nothing wrong with feeding you leos more than 1 to 2 waxworms a week..... Infact my leos get about 15 waxworms a week each..... Waxworms are a part of their varied diet.... They DO NOT get addicted to them!!!! Wxworms are full of calcium and good fats that are needed in a leos diet....

I have never needed to feed a leo pinkies ever..... If your leo is not putting on weight, you may want to check your temps.... Make sure they have a hot spot of 90 degrees.... Vary their diet and make sure you use the proper suppliments....

They don't get addicted to them? That's good to hear, cause my leo loves them. I was always afraid I was giving her too much. She put a little bit of weight on after I added them to her diet, but she looks healthier now that I do feed them to her. I have always been told by a number of sources that waxworms aren't good for them, so to use sparingly. She eats the same amount of waxworms as she does mealworms, like 20 each a week. Is that ok?

That is what I do Chibi... 20 a week sound good to me.... You dont want to feed leos a staple of waxworms but they should be a part of it..... You should also include mealworms and crickets and if you can, silkworms and roaches.....

Varied diets are the best diets....

Waxworms are filled with all kinds of good stuff.....
