Hello Everyone! Sean's usually the one who posts here but I just wanted to share some photos and something new. I made the same post in the Boa Forum a couple of days ago but with Boas. I guess you can say that I am sometimes somewhat biased with my subject choice for my photos since Boas are my passion. However, I do love the Ball Pythons and decided to devote a whole photo session to just Ball Pythons!
I did not take a single photo of a Boa during this shoot LOL!
Anyways, I just wanted to share some new photos I took on a new background...BLACK MELAMINE!
I used to use black velvet but stopped using it because of all the problems I had with the material. Sometimes, with colubrids in particular, the snake gets a little worked up during the photos and decides to defecate. Well, I'm not sure how you are supposed to clean velvet, but it is extremely difficult. For that reason and a couple of others, I stopped using the black velvet.
I then switched over to white and started using white sterilite lids. Sean suggested I try white melamine since that's what Mark Mandic used. I tried it and loved it (thanks Mark!)! So I got to thinking...what about BLACK melamine?? Well, I think the black melamine works like a charm.
Let me know what you think...
