I found a turtle egg and I am hoping to Identify it. I found it beside a lake in British Columbia, Canada. It was at harper Lake which is beside Sorrento. I think it may be a painted turtle.

I believe the Western Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta belli) is the only turtle species native to your area.
