Robert Palez's N of Dryden alterna

On a side note I just have to say that Robert's black on black male from north of Dryden looks even better in person. When your tired from hunting till five a.m. three nights in a row, it sure brings a smile to your face when a fellow herper stops to share his good fortune with you. Way to go Robert on an amazing trip. Shane Dobson

Thanks. It was really good to meet you two out there! Were you able to translate and transcribe your field notes off the “sc-roll” that was in the rear seat? (LOL)

Just a few updates: The adult Dryden female (alterna #5), which developed the typical rear body swelling after she took 5-6 meals, shed a few days ago – the egg-laying box is in with her to be safe but I don’t think it’s the pre-egg-laying shed. When collected, there were clusters of fine short hair cactus all over her. These were plucked out of the alterna, then OUT OF ME! This might have been a “repair” shed. The other gravid alterna (alterna #6) will shed any day now and that will be her pre-egg-laying shed. I can’t wait to see the morphs I get!!!!!!!!

Robert
