how much substrate (sand) (adult gecko who has been on sand for years and is perfectly fine!) is a good amount for a 20 gallon long tank..anyone know...i need to order over the web, so can't really eyeball it...thanks!!!

If you are using sand its easiest to pick some sifted, washed, fine grain playsand up from Home Depot, a 50lb bag only costs 3$, and you could fill a 20gallon tank and do a change or two with it!
What kind of sand do you use that you have to special order it offline?
As far as how much, probably about 1/2inch to 1inch across the bottom...
