It most definitely looks like one heck of a nice Miami to me, also.

thanx, the girl said "she thought" this being my first snake i figured she knew more than i did, then when i looked at photos i thought"well he does" but his red color was so vivid, i had no idea when i went to get a snake what to look for as far as pattern and markings, so i picked out the one i liked i think i did ok for a first time snake buyer, if i could just do that well picking out a car.....lOL

I'd begin to worry if it's a bit too bright...

A back-crossed jungle corn is a possibility instead of just a corn. If it is pure-blood P. gutatta gutatta then you've got one hell of a (Miami phase) snake there!

that seems to be a trend lately, when someone posts a picture of an exceptionally good looking corn snake some people start assuming right away that it is a hybrid. Sometimes they are, but at the same time there are people producing corns that would knock your socks off and they are NOT hybrids. It's a result of selective breeding.

>>There is absolutely nothing about that snake that makes me think anything other then pure Miami phase corn and a damn nice one at that.
excuse my "french"....lol

and that's the important thing... you picked out one YOU liked. Being a Miami Phase fan, I'd say you did real well...but at the same time there are people that don't care for Miami Phase (how I don't know, haha)

phiber_optikx Jun 28, 2005 05:27 PM

That really IS the most important thing! I don't see why people settle for a snake they don't really want.... I settled for Hope because it was all the pet shop had... but it was the best choice of my life (didn't really realise how beautifull snows really are) But I am still getting an amel, a butter, a creamsickle and a few rats! They ARE addictive

well my choices were him, or 2 creamsicles, i chose him because of they way he looked, and his disposition, he didnt mind being handled.... the 2 creams were to jumpy.
i figured simce i liked the way he looked, and he seemed docile he would be a better first snake, my guess was good.
